HOUSTON – Jan. 25, 2021 – Accelerate Learning today announced that STEMscopes Math has been approved by the Alabama State Department of Education as part of the state textbook adoption for mathematics. The adoption of the STEMscopes Math Alabama curriculum includes grades K-5.

STEMscopes Math Alabama is a core mathematics program that is aligned to the Alabama Course of Study: Mathematics. It combines digital and print components to provide teachers with everything they need to create meaningful math learning experiences for students in grades K-5.

Using the 5E plus Intervention and Acceleration lesson model, STEMscopes Math makes math relevant by revealing the wonder of math in the everyday world. It provides interactive learning using the Concrete Representational Abstract (CRA) approach. The curriculum features inquiry-based math investigations, virtual manipulatives, and interactive games that engage students as they build their understanding. In addition, it encourages exploration with open-ended, cross-dimensional tasks, and it drives purposeful math discussions to boost student collaboration and growth.

STEMscopes Math includes benchmark assessments to provide standards-based data and Quantile measures that track student progress and inform instruction. It also features embedded strategies for diverse learners, including English language learners and students who need additional support.
