To close the STEM learning gap in Lee County, Florida, four fourth-grade teachers used our award-winning STEMscopes Science curriculum to focus summer teaching time on STEM subjects for eager students who had spent the past year learning from home. At the beginning of the summer, students took a pre-test consisting of 40 science questions. After their summer class, they took the same test as a post-test. The average pre-test score was 45 percent, while the post-test average was 63 percent—an extraordinary increase of 18-percentage points! Detailed test results are shown below.
